Welcome to the World

An Ohio native, Brooklyn Decker was welcomed to the world on April 12th, 1987. She is the daughter of Tessa, a nurse, and Stephen, a pacemaker salesman. One of two children, Decker has a younger brother named Jordan. Although Decker was born in Kettering, she and her family moved to Middletown during her adolescence. Eventually, the Decker family settled down in Matthews, North Carolina — a suburb of Charlotte.

How Brooklyn Was Discovered

It turns out that North Carolina was the right move for the Decker family. Why, you ask? Well, this just happens to be where Brooklyn’s career began. In fact, she was discovered at a shopping mall in Charlotte when she was only a teenager. Not only did she begin to model at this point, but she also became the face of Mauri Simon, a prom dress designer and brand. And, as you guessed it, the rest is history.

Born With Talent

The blonde-haired, blue-eyed bombshell has been making waves in the entertainment industry since the early 2000s. Talented from the beginning, the new model won an award in 2003, at the Connections Model and Talent Convention. In 2005 — within just two months of moving to NYC — Decker landed a modeling gig with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

Modeling for Big Names

Throughout her modeling career, Brooklyn Decker has represented some huge brands. She was in campaigns for Gap, American Eagle, and J.C. Penney, and fronted the Victoria’s Secret 2010 swim collection. As well as appearing in ads, Decker posed in fashion editorials in Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and GQ.
