This Island Has One of the Largest Christmas Markets in Florida
This year, people will enjoy the annual Christmas market in Amelia Island from December 7-10. Surprisingly, the usually sunny weather in Florida still gets us in the holiday spirit. It is actually the largest Christmas Market in northeast Florida, and visitors will find shopping booths, food and drink stands, holiday movies, Santa visits, costumed characters, kids’ zones, and so much more. Talk about getting into the Christmas spirit!
The Annual Christmas Market
The Christmas Market in Amelia Island will kick off its festive activities on December 7 with the Dickens Illuminated Procession. This is a Front Street parade, and anyone who brings something sparkly can join.
Another activity you can enjoy is the one-mile run race Run the Like Dickens. It will start on December 9 on the Main Beach of the island, and the registration to participate is $25. You can also dress up for the Dickens After Dark costume party, also on December 9. Tickets are $135, and there will be stilt walkers, jugglers, Mama Blue music, and a Kristen Sparrow Circus Fire & Ice show!
If you want a more private experience, you can book a Christmas-decorated dome for an hour (up to 6 people). You can do that at the Dickens Enchanted Village from December 8-10. Inside, you’ll also receive a charcuterie box from Luxe Picnics by Les, worth $69!
More Fun Activities
The festival will also feature five market areas, including brands like Amelia Island Microgreens, Outerbanks Boil Company, and Sand Dollars Textile Art in Oliver’s Alley. You won’t have to worry about finding the market as a special shuttle service for visitors.
You’ll also find Backwood Meat Smokerz BBQ and Jax Taco Truck in Oliver’s Eats; Allen’s Gens and Rocks and Lavenders Cork in Artist Alley; Grumpy’s Housemade and Peruvian Accent in Peddler’s Village; and JB Sweet Treats and The Coastal Farmhouse in Tiny Tim’s Kid Zone!
