Shania Twain Reveals Brad Pitt’s Replacement if ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ Were Written in 2024
“That Don’t Impress Me Much,” a 1998 hit song by Shania Twain, mentions Brad Pitt, who was a legendary heartthrob at the time the song came out. But would Shania still sing about the actor if the song were released in 2024? Survey says no, and she recently shared who she would say instead.
Shania Twain and Harry Styles
On June 22nd in an interview, Shania Twain hinted that were she to have written the song now, she would sing Harry Styles in place of Brad Pitt in the famous line “Okay, so you’re Brad Pitt? That don’t impress me much.” In 2022, she even performed with Harry at Coachella, which the fans loved.
The two sang songs “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “You’re Still the One” together with Twain saying she felt honored and thrilled to share the stage with Styles, even though he was only a child when a lot of her songs were released.
Switching Things Up
It’s not the first time that Shania has changed the lyrics to “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” either. In 2023, she stated on a radio show that she would change it to Channing Tatum after seeing the actor in a trailer for one of his films. Before that, in her performance at the People’s Choice Awards in 2022, Shania Twain switched out Pitt for Ryan Renolds, who was sitting in the audience, much to his delight.
Pitt was asked how he felt about this and said he was happy to share the accolade. Pitt also stated that the next time Shania Twain sang this song, she should use Austin Butler or Leonardo DiCaprio, joking about how different actors also deserved a mention in the song. Whoever Shania Twain sings about, one thing’s for certain: “That Don’t Impress Me Much” is a timeless classic that will be enjoyed for years to come.
