Goosip Girl Star Penn Badgley Channels Serena Van Der Woodsen’s Style at Paris Fashion Week

Who doesn’t remember the iconic couple from Gossip Girl – Penn Badgley as Dan Humphrey and Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen? He was from Brooklyn, she was an Upper East Side queen.

Now, Penn has channeled his fictional girlfriend’s style with two skirt suits in one day at Paris Fashion Week.

Clothing Was Changed Twice

During the fashion event, Penn Badgley changed his clothes twice, and both outfits included skirts! He went for a look leaning toward his Gossip Girl on-screen girlfriend, Serena van der Woodsen, and his on-screen sister, Jenny Humphrey.

Both girls put their spin on the Constance-Billard uniforms back in the day, and he thought it would be a great idea to mix the two for a marvelous skirt-suit look.

Penn Badgley Learned Something

It seems Badgley learned a lesson or two from his days on the hit series Gossip Girl. First, he learned that a true elite should never stray from fashion risks—something he no doubt learned from Blake Lively’s character!

She always switched up her uniform – she never stayed in the lane wearing what she was told. He displayed his sense of fashion risk when he switched his grey socks to vibrant blue for his event look of a similar black skirt-suit, once more inspired by his Constance-Billard days.

Remembering the Past

In an interview with Esquire in 2021, Penn Badgley spoke out about Dan, his character on the show, saying he was the worst. Somehow, however, he managed to channel styles later from that series. He recalled his days and how horrible he was for most of the plot lines and wondered how he became known as the villain.

10 years have now passed since the show’s finale, and the elite’s fashion sense seems to have stuck, so much so that he would channel her style for a glamorous event. Good on you, Penn, you rock that skirt, bro!
