There are things that parents can easily get away with when their children are toddlers. Dressing multiple kids in matching outfits is one of those things. For the premiere of Rise, Milwaukee Bucks forward, Giannis Antetokounmpo decided to dress himself and his two sons in the same suits.
Giannis and His Boys Were Dashing at the Premiere
The 6’11” NBA superstar decided to take advantage of the situation and secured three matching olive green double-breasted suits and new pairs of white Air Force Ones for himself and his two boys — two-year-old Liam, and ten-month-old Maverick.
The only member of the Antetokounmpo family who didn’t wear an olive green suit was Mariah Riddlesprigger, Giannis’s partner. She opted for a stylish ash rose nightdress with a silver pattern and matching open-toe high-heel shoes.
The apparel worn by the Antetokounmpos was custom-made by Brown & Brown Clothiers, a well-known bespoke clothing store operating from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It’s needless to say that the entire family looked stunning for the event.
The Rise premiere was, naturally, a family gathering. Giannis and his family were accompanied by three of his four brothers — Thanasis, Kostas, and Alex — and his mother, Vera Antetokounmpo.
What Is Rise About?
The movie is a sports-drama biopic, which tells the story of the Antetokounmpo family on their path from Nigeria, to Greece, to the NBA. It was produced by Bernie Goldmann, written by Arash Amel, and directed by Akin Omotoso. The film stars Dayo Okeniyi and Yetide Badaki in the roles of Charles and Veronica, the parents of the Antetokounmpo brothers.
Rise was filmed in Athens, Greece, which makes it the first Disney production to be filmed entirely in Europe. The movie was distributed by Disney+ and was made available for streaming on June 24, 2022.
The entire Antetokounmpo family seemed both proud and humbled at the premiere by the fact that their story will be known throughout the world.
